 Flaw. flaw. flaw.

Im so sick of that word, in my mind habitually.

I heard someone speak on having a victorious mindset this last week and its been stuck in my head. This is what I needed to hear to get out of this ACTUAL funk I've been in.

You guys, lies suck. FOR REAL.

It's time to eradicate these from our thinking... impossible you think? NAH.

Check it out - Lies can tell you anything. They can make you fully believe an alternate reality.

During the message he gave some statistics:

Did you know that we have about 60,000 thoughts per day?

95% of your daily thoughts are habitual

12% are thoughts based out of fear &

80% are Negative

Unless you intentionally do something to interrupt these patterns of thinking by deliberately thinking in new ways, you can actually form new neural pathways in the brain and disconnect other thoughts, making your new way of thinking easier. We all have thoughts that we habitually think about ourselves, others or even how we feel about our place of work BUT What if i told you that you could change your relationships? All of them. With family, friends, and your significant other.

This is a personal goal of mine and i want to invite you to join me in having a victorious mindset!

How do we do this?

  • Start by recognizing these habitual thoughts
  • Write them out
  • Choose to take those thoughts captive and replace them with something else!

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."  Romans 5:1-5

I'm not positive what i thought this blog would become and what the topics would be but I'm feeling a consistent flow here, IdentitySignificance. The Lord has been teaching me so much about knowing my significance in this season of my life. Knowing that i belong and I am an important asset to the body of Christ.

For so long i lived life believing that i would never be one who could do creative things and fully live up to the standard God has called me to. Here's some really great news though ya'll. This standard He calls us to is not only to live out the desire He has so generously and freely placed in your heart but that standard is to love people along the way - WE GET TO LOVE ALL PEOPLE but how do we do that if we are stuck believing those lies about ourselves? If we want to love others well, we have to take our thoughts captive and love ourselves well.

Sometimes is just takes a little encouragement from someone to get you up and doing something that you’ve always wanted to do! WELL here i am, letting you know that you CAN do anything you want to do. Get healthy, Go for that early morning walk, Spend more time with your family, Write, Paint, Take up pottery, Learn to play an instrument?

You can do it and do not let that negative thinking tell you that you shouldn’t or that you’re incapable. Training your brain to have healthy thinking doesn’t just apply to a dream/dreams for your life it applies to everything. When you believe the BEST about YOU then you will start to view others this way and it will teach you to have more grace and patience for others.

This is not something that happens overnight, obviously, it takes practice. Much like choosing not to hit that snooze button in the EARLY AM, I’m preaching’ to myself here- i am also rambling at this point. I really just want to get this one thing across here, listen to what is TRUTH. Recognize it and practice living it out. Because the truth will set you free, positive thinking will set you free, you are called to live in freedom. Don’t let anything stop you from getting there.
